Travel Awards
The isirv-AVG is delighted to announce that a number of Travel Awards are available for Young Investigators
(who have a PhD or clinical qualification) who require financial assistance in order to attend the
4th isirv-AVG Conference
Two different awards are available:
· 12 ‘National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Travel Awards’ of up to USD 1400.00 towards
registration, hotel accommodation and the cost of travel.
Awardees will be reimbursed after attending the conference.
Awardees will be reimbursed after attending the conference.
· A limited number of other Travel Awards that will cover registration, hotel accommodation and the cost
of travel up to an agreed limit. These include awards provided by the WHO for researchers, particularly those
from low income countries.
In both cases, applicants are required to submit:
· An Abstract of significant research
· A brief CV and Bibliography
· A Letter of Support from their Department Head
Successful candidates will be selected by the Conference Organising Committee and award
recipients will be notified in mid-late March. Please also refer to the ‘Call for Abstracts’.
