2nd International Symposium on Neglected Influenza Viruses, 7th - 8th March 2013

Wednesday 6th March 2013 - Ingenious Ireland, Dublin Walking Tour

ISIRV invite you to take a walking tour of Dublin, commencing at 2.30pm at the Gates of Trinity College which is just two minutes away from the Royal College of Physicians.  Join your tour guide, science journalist Mary Mulvihill, for an informative walking tour.

Did you know…. The ‘ingenious Irish’ invented the modern stethoscope, milk chocolate and Whiskey?  We even changed the world: helping to land a man on the Moon (thanks to Irish Algebra), and generating copious electricity, thanks to the steam turbine.

Our tour on the afternoon of Wednesday 6th March will last for approx. 2 hours taking in all of the above and will finish in The Celtic Whiskey Shop in Dawson Street for a Whiskey tasting.

Cost: €22 per person.  Book your place using the online registration form.

A tour guide will be on hand during the day giving all the information about both Powerscourt and Glendalough.
