Brighton is located on the south coast of England - 53 miles (85 kilometres) from London.    


The closest international airport to Brighton is London Gatwick Airport (LGW).
Gatwick airport has scheduled routes to over 170 cities world-wide.
It is located approximately 28 miles (45 kilometres) from Brighton. 
It can be reached in 30 minutes by either road or rail (a railway station is located inside the airport's South terminal).

Gatwick airport is served by 4 train operators:

  • The Gatwick Express provides a direct, premium 30-minute service to London Victoria, departing every 15 minutes in peak periods. Two trains per hour extend to Brighton at peak times. You can save 10% if you book in advance.
  • Southern provides services across London and the South-East, including London Victoria, London Bridge, Clapham Junction, Brighton, Southampton, Eastbourne and Portsmouth, as well as many local stations. 
  • Thameslink connects Gatwick to the south coast at Brighton, central London through London Bridge, St. Pancras International and Farringdon, and north to Bedford. Thameslink also provides a direct train to Luton Airport Parkway. 
  • Great Western Railway runs a service every hour between Gatwick Airport and Reading, via Redhill, Reigate and Guildford. 
Has more international connections than any other airport in the world.
It is 90 minutes drive from Brighton using the motorway, or just under two hours using the underground train to London Victoria railway station / London Clapham Junction station, and then a fast express train service to Brighton.

Fast coach/bus services also run from both airports to Brighton coach station.


Brighton is connected to all areas of Britain via the Inter-City rail network, and is only 52 minutes direct from London Victoria station. The Gatwick Express departs London Victoria to Gatwick every 15 minutes and the fastest connection to Brighton takes just 28 minutes. There are frequent rail services into Brighton and the railway station is centrally located. The venue is only 12 minutes walk from Brighton Railway Station or a couple of minutes in a taxi.
