Second isirv AVG conference - Severe Influenza: Burden, Pathogenesis and Management
Social Events
We have arranged the following social events during the conference, which you are invited to attend and these are included in your registration fee. Please specify if you wish to attend any of the events when you register:
- Conference Dinner on Monday 29th October (venue TBC) - A chance to socialise with your fellow delegates at a local venue and experience a flavour of Viet Nam.
- Poster Reception on Tuesday 30th October – Melia Hotel. During drinks and nibbles you will have a chance to review and discuss in-depth the poster presentions with the authors.
- Tour of National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (NIHE) on Wednesday 31st October. NIHE plays a key role as one of the two referral centres for 63 provincial public health laboratories which together form a national communicable disease surveillance network. During the visit there will be a formal presentation by Professor Hien, Director of NIHE, detailing the history, its function and mission etc, followed by a tour of the facilities including the National Influenza Centre (NIC) laboratories and VABIOTECH.
