Dr. Hui-Ling Yen is Associate Professor at the School of Public Health, LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. She received a Ph.D from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and carried out her post-doctoral training at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, USA.
Her research interests focus on understanding the mechanisms of influenza transmission within and between reservoirs, potential virus-host interactions that affect viral pathogenicity and transmission, and the molecular determinants that confer antiviral resistance.
Dr Yen is a full member of the American Society of Virology; she serves as an editorial board member at Antiviral Research and as an associate editor at Influenza and Other Respiratory Viruses.
